Baggage


  • Each passenger is entitled to check up 1 bag. All checked bags must not exceed 62" (157.48 cm) in overall dimensions (length + width + height) and cannot exceed 35 pounds (15.87 kg) combined.


Baggage not permitted: The following articles are regarded as dangerous goods and may affect flight safety.

Unacceptable baggage

  • Incendiary or explosive material.
  • Items with flammable or poisonous gases such as butane, oxygen or liquid nitrogen.
  • Flammable liquids such as gasoline, oil, alcohol, paint, ether and solvents.
  • Materials such as oxides chloride of lime, peroxide, fertilizers based on ammonium nitrate.
  • Toxic or infectious substances such as poison, pesticides, weed killers, insecticides, or organic-type virus.
  • Any sort of radioactive materials.

Carry-on baggage

  • Each passenger may bring onboard one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, etc.) plus one carry on bag not to exceed 10 pounds.
  • Your personal item must not exceed 18" L (45.72 cm) x 15" W (38.1 cm) x 8" H (20.32 cm) in order to fit under the seat in front of you.
  • You may be required to check in your carry on bag in case of limited space in the passenger cabin. If this happens it is your responsibility to remove all items not suitable for transportation as checked baggage.

Unacceptable carry on baggage

  • Knives
  • Razors
  • Scissors
  • Sharp articles
  • Lighters
  • Matches
  • Lighter fluid

Additional baggage fees

  • Excess baggage is accepted as conditional and subject to availability inside our aircraft. If there is space available, it will be sent on the same flight; otherwise it will be sent on the next available flight.
  • If you would like to purchase additional baggage CM Airlines allows up to 35 pounds (15.87 kg) for $35.00 USD per passenger.

Damaged / delayed baggage claim

  • First and foremost we apologize for any inconvenience caused if your baggage has been delayed or damaged. If for some reason your baggage is not at the airport or was mistakenly taken due to similarity by another passenger it is important to make a baggage claim with a CM Airlines team member while you're at the airport.
  • If you have a connecting flight with an international carrier, please find a CM Airlines team member and provide them with information of your permanent address, phone number, email address and ticket number. Also please inform CM which airline you are flying with so that your baggage will be sent to you by our company through them, as soon as it is found.
  • Please note that CM AIRLINES is not responsible for minor damages, such as scratches, dents, lost wheels, etc., caused by normal handling or overstuffed bags.
  • When baggage is checked in with damage an additional baggage tag will be placed by a CM team member at the ticket counter

Fragile items

  • CM AIRLINES will not be responsible for fragile items and perishable goods packaged in an inappropriate way.
  • When CM AIRLINES accepts articles poorly packaged, fragile or perishable we must make the passenger know that, the airline will not be held responsible for their articles and that the customer assumes all risk.
  • Passenger will be prompted to signing the baggage tag which has conditional acceptance that the passenger understands that CM AIRLINES is not liable for fragile articles packaged poorly.
  • In the event that the passenger refuses to the conditions, a CM team member will write on the baggage tag "Passenger refused to sign". CM Airlines also has the right to refuse certain luggage.

Fire arms

CM AIRLINES will accept a firearm by a passenger in exchange for a piece of baggage. This service has a charge of $10.00 USD. Automatic weapons will not be accepted. All the firearms of this type must be packaged properly within a proper case. Firearms may not be carried as carry on baggage. CM AIRLINES regulations also state all proper documentation should be presented at the ticket counter upon check in.

The client must demonstrate in an isolated area that the gun/guns are unloaded. CM AIRLINES team members will not handle any weapons during the inspection. This type of baggage will only be accepted at our ticket counters.

Any firearm, no matter if it is presented in an individual container or not, is defined as the following and subject to these regulations:

  • One kit for rifle, containing no more than two rifles, with or without a view, eleven pounds of ammunition, a suppressor of sound, and small tools.
  • Two shotguns, two kits of shotguns and eleven pounds of ammunition.
  • One carton of pistol, not containing more than five pistols, one look, a suppressor of sound, and small tools that need to be checked shall be considered as excess baggage and charged their respective charge.
  • Passengers must declare that they are carrying these weapons with them and sign the baggage claim ticket.
  • Any weapon should be packed in a hard containers with a capacity of be locked.
  • The weapons will be inaccessible to any passengers on board.

Sports equipment

Bicycles

CM AIRLINES will not accept bicycles as baggage free of charge. We only accept non motorized bicycles, bicycles with a single-seat and one bicycle per customer this will be treated as freight.

For your information:

  • Handlebars should be in a fixed position, and parallel to the bicycle.
  • Pedals must be removed from bicycle.
  • All the parts that are loose must be packaged within a packaging material strong enough to be able to protect them.

If loose parts are not packaged correctly, CM Airlines is not responsible and will not be held liable for damage.

Camping equipment

  • Camping equipment will be accepted under the standard conditions of baggage. Equipment will be in exchange for a piece of baggage yet, is still under the guidelines of 50 lbs per person.
  • Any camping equipment checked in as excess baggage, will incur an additional charge.

Acceptable camping equipment but not limited to:

  • Camping back packs
  • Sleeping bags
  • Tents in a case or original box

Some camping goods are made from material that is easy to break, which carry aluminum structures, buckles, etc. this will be regarded as fragile items on your baggage claim ticket.

Passenger will be prompted to signing the baggage tag which has conditional acceptance that the passenger understands that CM AIRLINES is not liable for fragile articles packaged poorly.

In the event that the passenger refuses to the conditions a CM team member will write on the luggage tag "Passenger refused to sign".

Camping equipment not accepted:

  • Lanterns
  • Stoves
  • Cooking equipment that use liquid fuel, propane, butane gas, or similar gases will not be accepted as baggage in accordance with the regulations of hazardous materials.

Fishing equipment

There is no additional charge for fishing equipment; however, one item of fishing equipment will count as one of your checked bags. Fishing poles are exempt from the standard size requirements (62") but should still follow weight and other equipment guidelines.

All fishing equipment must be properly packaged in containers that do not exceed the following dimensions:

8 x 8 x 84

Acceptable fishing equipment:

  • Two rods
  • One landing net
  • One reel
  • One pair of fishing boots (properly encased)
  • One fishing tackle box

Please note: all equipment should be packed in a hard-sided container.


Small hooks for fly fishing or fresh water hooks are acceptable as allowed by TSA (Transportation Security Administration). Deep sea fishing hooks are permitted in checked bags only.

*If fishing equipment exceeds baggage allowance this will be charged as excess baggage.

Scuba diving equipment

CM AIRLINES does accept scuba diving equipment, as part of baggage free of charge. If baggage exceeds 50 lbs will be charged as excess baggage.

Acceptable scuba diving equipment:

  • One empty scuba tank
  • One regulator
  • One harness for the tank
  • One pressure indicator
  • One mask with respirator
  • One knife
  • One security vest
  • One scuba fins
  • One weight belt

Golf equipment

Golf equipment is accepted on all CM Airlines flights. There is no additional charge or oversized fee for golf bags as long as they are within weight limitations. A golf bag will count as one of your checked bags.

One golf bag containing not more than:

  • Fourteen golf clubs
  • Three golf balls
  • One pair of golf shoes

Please note: all equipment should be packed in a hard-sided container. CM Airlines will accept Golf Bags in a soft-sided travel bag, but will not be liable for damage to the bag or contents.


You will be prompted to signing the baggage tag which has conditional acceptance to make sure the passenger understands CM will not be held liable for damage to the bag or contents.

In the event that the passenger refuses to the conditions a CM team member will write on the luggage tag "Passenger refused to sign".
